Oirad72 <\/a>kindly shared his nifty roof design that utilizes shovels to create an excellent shingle look.<\/p>\n

Basic two stud wide plates, jumper plates, 1×1 tile with clip, 1×1 round plates, and of course shovels are used in this design.<\/p>\n

\"1\"<\/p>\n

The 2 stud wide plates are stacked to form the base of the roof. And then 1×1 round plates and jumper plates are alternated to give half stud offsets.<\/p>\n

\"2\"<\/p>\n

Next, a tile with clip is attached to each of the exposed studs.<\/p>\n

\"3\"<\/p>\n

\"4\"<\/p>\n

These are then used to hold the handles of the shovels.<\/p>\n

\"5\"<\/p>\n

Due to the length of the shovel element, they extend several studs past the plate base.<\/p>\n

\"6\"<\/p>\n

And you can then just continue this pattern for as large a space as your roof requires.<\/p>\n

And here is another neat roof design that makes use of classic plastic capes.<\/p>\n

Again two stud wide plates are used to provide the structural support, though in a different orientation this time.<\/p>\n

This last design is very similar to the shovel technique, but doesn’t require any half stud offsets and makes use of hairbrushes or ice cream treats for the shingles.<\/p>\n
