{"id":13892,"date":"2019-08-28T20:54:23","date_gmt":"2019-08-28T20:54:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/?p=13892"},"modified":"2019-08-28T20:54:23","modified_gmt":"2019-08-28T20:54:23","slug":"furniture-tutorial-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/?p=13892","title":{"rendered":"Furniture Tutorial #21"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This guide covers a bed, small cupboard, bookshelf, and throne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First is the bed design Isaac came up with for use in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/?p=13089\">Noctura&#8217;s Keep<\/a>.<br>A simple platform of plates is used for the base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The plate modified with clip will be used to attach a fancy scroll work element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>1&#215;2 tiles and 1&#215;2 cheese make up the bed&#8217;s covers and pillow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/3-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Horns are used for the headboard and are held in place by 1&#215;1 plate round with hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/4-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally the scroll work element and a few clips are added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/5-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Giving a dark yet elegant design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/6-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next is a variation on the small cupboard designs we&#8217;ve shown before. This time 1&#215;2 brackets are used to attach the jumper plate drawers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/7-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Giving a different offset than using headlight bricks or brick modified with stud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/8-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/9-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our third design is a fancy bookshelf. <br>1&#215;2 panels hold each stack of books in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/10-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While brick modified with stud are used to attach some SNOT elements for additional detailing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/11-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The same design is repeated for the second shelf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/13-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/14-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And on top some plate modified with handle and curved slopes provide the finishing touches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/15-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/16-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last is a fancy throne I used in my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/?p=11372\">Royal Dance<\/a> scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/17-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The back uses a window lattice held in place by clips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/18-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Headlight bricks and 1&#215;1 round bricks fit nicely as the arms of the throne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/19-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And more 1&#215;1 round parts frame the lattice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/20-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally these pieces are used to complete the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/21-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/22-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As always we appreciate your feedback and welcome suggestions for future guides!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This guide covers a bed, small cupboard, bookshelf, and throne.
