An entry for the Seasonal Bliss category of the Wandering Skies contest<\/a>. My idea was to create a frigid yet peaceful winter landscape with the only hints of warmth and comfort coming from the house’s window light. And then an incredibly cozy, steampunk interior inside.
Nothing like being able to enjoy winter’s beauty from a warm, comfortable vantage point!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nigel Langridge is an experienced airship captain who spends most of the year traveling across the skies. Yet when winter comes and storms make such journeys too dangerous, he returns to his snug lakeside home. There he relaxes with his curmudgeonly cat, Reginald, and ever energetic dog, Maxwell. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
