A look behind the scenes at what went into making Amfridus the Inventor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This build was unique, in that there were essentially two different bases, connected by only water and one rock arch:<\/p>\n

I was trying to create a very whimsical atmosphere with this MOC, so the colors of the landscape were much more vibrant and bright than is realistic:<\/p>\n

\"2\"<\/p>\n

The rock arch was challenging, in that it was angled across the stream, but still needed to be attached solidly.<\/p>\n

\"3\"<\/p>\n

The beginning of the inventor’s cave workshop. I tilted the window to add to the wacky look:<\/p>\n

Finished the small section of rock, and the connecting arch:<\/p>\n

Workshop furniture and details:<\/p>\n

\"6\"<\/p>\n

Then I added the waterfall, which was a bit different than my usual ones, in that the whole thing fell outside the rockwork:<\/p>\n

Now it’s time to start on Amfridus’ home:<\/p>\n

The wooden house sections were also slightly tilted, using mixel joints and plate and tile supports:<\/p>\n
