Another Chima battle pack, this retailed for $10 and features the Saber-tooth Tiger Tribe. Similar to the Ice Bear tribe<\/a>, it contains 3 warriors with banner, weapons, armor, and a mobile disk shooter. The box art is the same as the Ice Bear Tribe, with an icy landscape under a fiery banner.<\/p>\n

The back is also practically identical to the bear tribe, with an advertisement for Tiger’s Mobile Command and the Ice Bear Tribe.<\/p>\n

\"2\"<\/p>\n

The instructions manual, two bags of parts, and the banner make up the contents of the box.<\/p>\n

\"3\"<\/p>\n

The parts selection is quite good, despite the low parts count.<\/p>\n

\"4\"<\/p>\n

Some notable parts. The 2×4 plates are dark orange. The bley spikes can be quite useful, as was demonstrated in the Iron Builder<\/a> round featuring that part in green. And the printed banner is well designed.<\/p>\n

The three Saber-tooth Tiger figs make quite an intimidating group. Easily distinguishable by his sand blue coloring, the leader is especially cool. While the legs, and masks are each unique, there are two of the same torsos and heads used for the warriors. This is made less noticeable by using opposite sides of the double printed heads. Due to my lack of knowledge about the Chima storyline, I found it odd that the printing on the soldiers torsos and heads shows cloth wrappings similar to that of a mummy.<\/p>\n

The basic banner stand design is comparable to that of the Ice Bear Tribe, but this one uses an axe and clip to attach the banner, and has some added detailing around the bottom via some trans light blue parts.<\/p>\n

As expected, the mobile launcher model is centered around the shooting function itself.<\/p>\n

\"8\"<\/p>\n

The bley spikes serve as the large teeth of the tiger.<\/p>\n

\"12\"<\/p>\n

The skis add to the arctic look, and allow for vertical adjustment of the launcher, something sadly lacking on the Ice Bear launcher. Also this launcher avoids the large block look much more successfully.<\/p>\n

\"13\"<\/p>\n

Two small barricades also use the bley spikes as detailing and complete the set.<\/p>\n

\"14\"<\/p>\n

Like its Ice Bear counterpart, this set provides some excellent minifigures and play-ability\u00a0 for a good price.\u00a0 There are also some very useful parts included.<\/p>\n

If you have both of the battle packs, it is quite fun to challenge a friend to a battle and see who can knock over the enemy warriors and banner first using the disk launchers.<\/p>\n

\"18\"<\/p>\n

The final verdict is the same as the Ice Bear Tribe: a good way to obtain Chima figs and play value for a low cost; not so impressive as a display model or building experience.<\/p>\n

Out of the two, I prefer the Saber-tooth tribe due to the launcher design and parts selection.<\/p>\n
