The box features a pretty nature surrounding, and highlights the working crossbow and printed target.<\/p>\n

The back shows that the target is actually knocked down when hit, and gives close up to each of the sets’ modules.<\/p>\n

Inside are 2 bags of parts and the instruction manual.<\/p>\n

All the parts laid out. As you can see, there are 10 1×2 log bricks in Reddish Brown, and Dark Orange. Plus quite a few friends flowers, including some in Dark Pink. The hedgehog is quite a cute little animal as well, and unlike some friends animals, fits well in scenes with regular minifigures.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the stand out parts for me. Barrels, log bricks, 2×2 round plates, and cheese are always useful. A red apple, some cherries, and the printed target are great parts that aren’t real common. And of course the working crossbow is quite a fun addition.<\/p>\n

The build process starts with the hedgehog’s hut, which is quite simple, but the ground is nicely detailed using some of the friends flowers and cherries.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
Next are the targets. The apple on a stump is a fun idea, and the main target works quite nicely.<\/p>\n

Last a small shelter and chair is built for any onlookers, or archers looking to relax. On the small table are a drink, sandwich, and trophy.<\/p>\n

All the modules together. On testing the target set up, I was surprised at the power the crossbow has. With some arc, it can shoot over 10 feet! At closer ranges it isn’t hard to succeed in knocking down the targets, making for a fun play feature.<\/p>\n

The extra parts contain several flowers, a cherry, and even a 1×1 plate in gold.<\/p>\n

Overall, I was quite pleased with the set: plenty of great parts, good play value, and all for the low price of $10.<\/p>\n
