Another commissioned model, this landscape was meant to serve as the base for a few medieval buildings.<\/p>\n

Whenever I include water features in my builds, I like to get a good idea of their layout before getting much else done. Another thing to keep in mind is that the water should generally be the lowest part of the scene.<\/p>\n

The white bricks will be covered over, and serve as a small waterfall.<\/p>\n

\"2\"<\/p>\n

Having a few sections of rapids allowed me to introduce more elevation changes in the landscape, and keep it from looking too flat.<\/p>\n

\"3\"<\/p>\n

The waterfalls were made up of 1×1 round white and trans clear plates to give a very frothy look.<\/p>\n

\"4\"<\/p>\n

Started on some path, and set up the base-pad for a water mill. The building foundation is angled via a 4×4 turntable.<\/p>\n

Another base set up for a house on the other side of the river, and a little bit of path near it as well. At this point, the client realized a bridge would be an excellent addition so I ended up reworking the path\/landscape area in the front.<\/p>\n

Before doing so, I came up with a bridge prototype. This version was much to big and elaborate for the scene however, so I ended up switching designs.<\/p>\n

Much better! Here you can also see underneath the building foundations and the addition of a small tree.<\/p>\n

At this point, the landscape just needs some plants and additional detailing on the path.<\/p>\n

Then it was time to make the border for the build: by incorporating 1×2 technic brick with cross into the base, I was able to make a removable border.<\/p>\n

Several different versions of the border were made, each with unique decoration.<\/p>\n

This was the final product, but I figured I shouldn’t let the landscape be left unfinished, so I completed the scene for myself with a few buildings, trees, and fence around the path:<\/p>\n
