My entry for round 1 of The Middle Earth LEGO Olympics<\/a> over on MOCpages. The category was to create a build based on one of J.R.R Tolkien’s poems or songs. Here is the one I chose:<\/p>\n

Farewell we call to hearth and hall!<\/em>
\n Though wind may blow and rain may fall,<\/em>
\n We must away ere break of day<\/em>
\n Far over wood and mountain tall. <\/em><\/p>\n

To Rivendell, where Elves yet dwell<\/em>
\n In glades beneath the misty fell,<\/em>
\n Through moor and waste we ride in haste,<\/em>
\n And whither then we cannot tell. <\/em><\/p>\n

With foes ahead, behind us dread,<\/em>
\n Beneath the sky shall be our bed, <\/em>
\nUntil at last our toil be passed,<\/em>
\n Our journey done, our errand sped. <\/em><\/p>\n

We must away! We must away! <\/em>
\nWe ride before the break of day!<\/em><\/p>\n

I tried to portray the 3 main themes of the song: hearth and home, travel through the wild, and Rivendell.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
