Today we will be taking a look at a circular staircase design that I think worked quite well in my Treaty With the Lír Teilien Elves build. And of course, this design isn’t limited to just Elven builds, you could use it in any setting you want to. Enough chit-chat, let’s see how it’s done!

The basic structure of the staircase is 2×6 plates, with 1×2 jumper plates on both ends, and tiles in the middle. This will allow you create the curve, as well as attach some sort of railing. I like to put round bricks on the outer part of the staircase, to make it a little more stable.

Here you can see what it looks like from the other side.

Next we’ll work on adding a railing; for my specific build I wanted it to almost like a trellis, but if you wanted a more standard railing, you could use round bricks, cones, or whatever you think looks best. As you can see, I used a 6 long bar slid into a cone for the side of the trellis that would go onto the jumper plates on the staircase. On the other side I used two 4-long bars connected by a white hand. This isn’t an incredibly sturdy connection, but it is not going to just fall apart all the time either. The two sides are connected on the top by some curved slopes, clips, and a 1×4 plate.

You’ll need to make two of the above assemblies, but only one of the design pictured below. It’s very similar to the other assemblies, but has cones on both sides, so as to be able to attach to both jumper plates at the top of the staircase.

You should be able to see what I mean in this picture. You’ll also need to make three simple assemblies, using a 6 long bar stuck into a cone. These will go in between the other trellis parts.

Attach those, and you’re almost done! As you can see here, I used a 1×1 round plate with hole to attach a bird perched on the trellis. This was just something I did for my build, and could easily be left off entirely if you wanted to.

The only thing we need to do is add leaves! I really liked the look of lavender ones in my build, but you could use any color.

And there we have it!
