{"id":9235,"date":"2018-03-14T15:37:54","date_gmt":"2018-03-14T15:37:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/?p=9235"},"modified":"2018-03-14T15:37:54","modified_gmt":"2018-03-14T15:37:54","slug":"ice-planet-2002-astral-quadrant-hq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.brickbuilt.org\/?p=9235","title":{"rendered":"Ice Planet 2002: Astral Quadrant HQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve always liked the classic Ice Planet theme that LEGO made, and after\u00a0looking at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/thebrickbin\/\">Chris Perron&#8217;s<\/a> incredible <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/thebrickbin\/13185640345\/in\/gallery-130093880@N02-72157693450894315\/\">Ice Inspector<\/a><\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/legocy\/\">Siercon and Coral&#8217;s<\/a> magnificent\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/legocy\/8394273414\/in\/gallery-130093880@N02-72157693450894315\/\">Ice Planet Base<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0I wanted to try my hand at a build in the classy blue, white, and trans-neon orange colors. I&#8217;m quite pleased with the result, and it was very enjoyable to build. The micro truck outside the main base is supposed to be a rendition of Chris&#8217;s monstrous Ice Inspector that I linked to earlier in the post, though unfortunately I wasn&#8217;t able to pack in all the details on it that I would have liked to. Hopefully it is still recognizable as being inspired by his masterpiece though!<\/p>\n<p>This build was my first time trying to incorporate lights into a model, which was both fun and frustrating at times. I&#8217;m pretty happy with the result, but if anyone has tips or suggestions about ways to improve it, definitely let me know!<\/p>\n<p>I also want to give huge thank-you to <a
