Isaac and I had the pleasure of contributing to Eurobricks’ group display at Brickworld this year. It was an amazing experience getting to collaborate with so many incredible builders, and we had the easy assignment of just bringing a realm to be added to the tree. You can read a great summary of the entire collaboration over on Eurobricks. It did end up winning Best Group Display!
Unfortunately adding our realm didn’t go as smoothly as it should have, due to lack of planning and experience on our part, but eventually with the help of Tim we got everything to work out. Because the model is meant to be suspended in the air from a tree branch, we weren’t able to get good pictures before the convention. Fortunately Jonas took plenty of high quality shots, including all of the ones we are using here. You can see all of his pictures of the display in this album.
We built the Harvest realm, which features a large temple topped by a giant cornucopia. Below the water this is a coral reef brimming with aquatic life. And we were able to incorporate quite a bit of lighting into the model which was a neat experience as we have done very little with lights in MOCs before.
