Arched Window Tutorial

It’s been a little while since our last tutorial with all the Summer Joust prizes we’ve been busy with. This guide covers a simple technique for combining macaroni tiles with a 1×6 arch.

A 2×6 plate with a few tiles on top starts the window.

Then comes the important parts: some headlight bricks with 1×1 brick with stud on top. Alternatively you could use the new Brick, Modified 1 x 1 x 1 2/3 with Studs on 1 Side.

The 1×4 arch goes directly on top of those elements, and then some 1×1 tiles and the macaroni tiles can be attached.

Some simple stonework elements are then added around the window.

One brick and one plate on top of the 2×6 plate get the walls high enough for a 1×6 arch to be added.

While the back 1×1 sections are built up a few bricks higher.

The arch fits perfectly over the macaroni tiles giving a neat layered look.

I figured out this design for use in my Silver Seedling build.

Enjoy messing around with this technique, and stay tuned for plenty more tutorials to come this summer!
